Getting to Know Hair Tattoo (SMP)

The SMP Journey and What to Expect

So, what’s the deal with SMP? Well, it usually takes about 2-4 sessions to get you from thinning to winning. Here’s the scoop:

Session 1: We start by laying the groundwork. Think of it as the first layer of paint on a masterpiece. We’ll place those tiny “dots” further apart to see how the pigment settles into your skin. This helps us adjust and perfect your look in the next sessions.

Sessions 2-4: Over the next couple of sessions, we’ll build up the density, create a new hairline, and fill in your crown and temples as needed. Using microneedles and carbon-based ink, we replicate hair follicles by depositing ink just below the epidermis. Each session blends and adds to the previous work, ensuring a natural and full look.

How your skin takes to the pigment can vary, so the number of sessions might be different for everyone. But don’t worry, we’ll tailor it just for you!

On the Day of Your SMP

Here’s what you need to know for the big day:

Long Hair Density Treatment: Come with clean, dry hair.

Short Hair Treatment: If you’re going for that freshly shaved look, buzz it down to 0.5mm to 1.0mm. Can't be bothered? No worries, we’ll do it for you when you get here.

No Razor Blades: Avoid razor-blade shaving 48 hours before your appointment.

Before we start, we’ll design your new hairline to match your face shape and personal style. Whether you want a soft, staggered look or a sharp, defined hairline, we’ve got you covered.

Post-Treatment Tips

- Allow 7-14 days between sessions for healing and pigment settling.

- Expect some redness for 2 to 24 hours post-treatment – a loose-fitting hat can help if needed.

- Pain levels are pretty mild, usually around 2-5 out of 10, mainly around the hairline and temples.

Remember, you must be 18+ to get SMP, as per Victorian Government regulations.
